A Future Without Humans
2021
‘A Future Without Humans’ is a Documentary created by 20 children in their 3rd year of Primary School.
The year is 2050 and humans no longer exist! But Planet Earth continues to be occupied by many different animals which we know and love. A team of journalistic animals set out to interview a variety of mammals, reptiles, birds and fish about their experiences of life on Earth now that humans are not around anymore. Some animals are happy and upbeat whilst other animals are sad and upset, but they are all able to explain the positive or negative impact that humans used to have on their lives, habitats, diets and environments.
An original Documentary inspired by Nick Park’s British “mockumentary” Creature Comforts; ‘A Future Without Humans’ was written over the course of the 2020/21 academic year by a class of 20 non-native English students aged 8-9. It included elements of comedy and moral messages related to protecting nature, caring for animals and understanding the importance of all living things.
