Water Tales

2021

‘Water Tales’ is a Documentary created by 20 children in their 4th year of Primary School.

In this documentary we see 5 short-stories related to the theme of water. One follows a family of raindrops in the sky, who understand that humans need to drink plenty of water. In another, a poor goldfish has to explain to a group of girls that littering in the sea is a huge problem for the creatures that live there. In one of the stories a group of explorers demonstrate that it is wrong to capture endangered animals for pleasure or profit. In another one we learn the valuable lesson of treating precious resources with respect and the importance of not wasting water around the house.

An original Documentary using green screen and original background drawings by the children, ‘Water Tales’ was written over the course of the 2020/21 academic year by a class of 20 non-native English students aged 9-10. It included elements of comedy and moral messages related to water and its vital importance to all aspects of life.
