Travels Through Time
2017
‘Travels Through Time’ is a Stage-Play created by 25 children in their 6th year of Primary School.
A school class is visiting the Madrid History Museum with their teacher. A group of 5 students are bored, so they decide to sneak off and go to the cinema instead. When they are denied entry by the ticket taker, they try to enter another way through a mysterious back door. Little do they know that this door is a teleport machine that will travel them through time! The 5 students are separated from each other as one goes back to The Stone Age, one goes to World War 2, one goes to the Battle of Waterloo, another goes to the 1981 MTV Awards and one even travels to the Future! From helping Cavemen and assisting the Duke of Wellington, to meeting Madonna and fighting dystopian robots in the future, the students must help solve problems in each of the different time periods if they are to ever get back to their class, their teacher and their parents!
An original Stage-Play exploring comedy, history and science-fiction, ‘Travels Through Time’ was written over the course of the 2016/17 academic year by a class of 25 non-native English students aged 11-12. It included songs, dances and moral messages related to friendship, togetherness and helping others in need.
