Yo, Where Did Our Spanish Go?
2015
‘Yo, Where Did Our Spanish Go?’ is a Film created by 100 teenagers in their 3rd and 4th year of High School.
It is the last day of school before the summer holidays. The students of Colegio Sagrádo Corazón are all excited, talking about their summer plans and hanging out with their groups of friends. All is well in the world, but it doesn’t take them long to uncover a strange realisation. They have somehow forgotten all their Spanish… and they are all using English as their mother tongue! To make matters worse, there is an end of year party happening tonight and nobody can remember the Spanish password to enter!
An original Film combining elements of comedy, drama and mystery, ‘Yo Where Did Our Spanish Go?’ was written over the course of the 2014/15 academic year by a team of 35 writers aged 12-18. It included a cast of 65 non-native English actors aged 15-18. It was filmed around the neighbourhood of Fuencarral and Tres Olivos in the north of Madrid.
