‘Mystery at the Gala’ is a Stage-Play created by 3 children in their 4th, 5th and 6th year of Primary School.

At a glamorous Celebrity Gala, 3 contestants are competing for the golden trophy for the year’s most talented artist. The contestants include a fabulous Ice-Skater, a beautiful Singer and an eccentric Actress. After the 3 performances, the Judge of the competition is kidnapped and the trophy is stolen! A Detective is called to come and investigate the Gala and the disappearance of the Judge and the trophy. But with time running out, the Detective must manage to find all the clues and help discover what happened with the Mystery of the Gala…

An original Stage-Play exploring mystery and comedy and inspired by TV talent shows and celebrity award ceremonies. ‘Mystery at the Gala’ was written over the course of the 2024/25 academic year by a group of 3 non-native English San Patricio (Moraleja) students aged 9-11. It included dance routines, singing performances and an actor’s monologue, as well as moral messages related to selflessness, jealousy and problem solving.
