The Haunting of Sakura Street

2025

‘The Haunting of Sakura Street’ is a Stage-Play created by 14 children in their 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th year of Primary School.

When a pair of twin sisters decide to move house, they realise that there's something strange about their creepy new house on Sakura Street. A group of triplets and their friends are introduced to 2 new “friends” which seem suspicious and plan to kidnap one of the sisters. Meanwhile, some Shapeshifters decide they want to destroy the city of Tokyo and rebuild it with them as the leaders. But when they discover that a girl has been kidnapped and is trapped in the haunted house, they are forced to reflect on their actions. With the help of a talking White Tiger, the heroes must all work together to stop the villains and save the triplets’ sister in The Haunting of Sakura Street…

An original Stage-Play set in Tokyo and inspired by Japanese Anime, ‘The Haunting of Sakura Street’ was written over the course of the 2024/25 academic year by a group of 14 non-native English Montessori La Florida students aged 6-10. It included elements of action and moral messages related to courage, teamwork and morality.
